Hello! Welcome to my online home. My name is Sarah Elizabeth Aguilar and I am a family nurse practitioner (FNP) student at Samuel Merritt University. This website was created with numerous ideas in mind; overall, the major motivation was to ensure there was one easily accessible area that I could house my ever-evolving journey into the nurse practitioner role.

 

I grew up in the sleepy town of West Sacramento, California -- full of potential, bursting with a progressively diverse community. This was a perfect combination for starry-eyed me to begin developing my understanding of continually changing environments and to cultivate a culturally responsive demeanor.

I always knew I wanted to help others in my future. A career as a nurse practitioner was the perfect opportunity to challenge me to think outside the box, to formulate meaningful relationships with my community, and to, ultimately, empower my patients to create a healthier life for themselves and their families. My adventure has only just begun and I look forward to all the new experiences I have yet to encounter.
